F.A.O. Friends and Supporters

It has been a couple of years since many of you signed petition ‘The Nation Speaks or Global Voices Unite’; but sadly, much of what was predicted is now taking place. We are therefore writing to you today, to relay news of a US Law passed in March 2013, giving GM producer ‘Monsanto’ absolute immunity against any harm their products could cause you, loved-ones, future generation & the environment (*see below). Unfortunately, the majority are unaware that they may have been consuming Genetically Modified (GM) Foods for over 20 years, which research has linked to cancer, infertility, birth defects, organ damage, premature deaths and more. In response, ‘Occupy’ have organised a global March against Monsanto on 25 May 2013. In addition, we are circulating a powerful 5 minute video ‘Why Are We Dying To Be Healthy’?– whichexposes the bigger picturebehind Food & Medicine control and the importance of bringing Corporate abuse to an end. To achieve this, we need half the population in each country to sign our petitions. Therefore, at this critical stage, we are urging everyone to please SIGN today and share this information far and wide. Although the campaign is not affiliated with ‘Occupy’, we support their effort to create global awareness and inspire others to take ‘peaceful’ action. As our petition was recently updated, please read it once more as it reflects the seriousness of the situation.

Monsanto, the largest producer of genetically-modified seeds can now legally unleashthis lethal weapon on to the world’s population. But instead of our Governments protecting us, they have chosen to secretly pass laws to safeguard GM Producers (like Monsanto) from prosecution against any damage they may cause. Therefore in order to safeguard our future, we need to hold Governments accountable for negligence (breach of trust & legal duty of care); violation of our Human Rights; destruction of our natural environment; plus demand the immediate labelling of all GM Foods and Products currently on the market. But our most powerful ‘bargaining tool’ is OUR WALLETS. So ask your local Supermarket or store, if they stock GM foods or products. If they do, DON’T BUY THEM. Affecting their ‘wealth’ will force them to respect and protect your HEALTH and finally bring an end to global GM production.

The purpose of this MARCH…

is to raise global awareness and bring the production and sale of GM foods & products to an end. To achieve this, you are asked to either attend one of the many peaceful marches being held in a city near you, OR share this information to help spread the word.

  • Research studies have shown that Monsanto’s genetically-modified foods can lead to serious health conditions such as the development of cancer tumours, infertility, birth defects, infant mortality, immune dysfunction, stunted growth, allergies, premature death and more.
  • Monsanto’s GMO seeds are destroying our wild-life and the environment. For example, scientists have indicated they have caused colony collapse among the world’s bee population.
  • In the United States, the FDA (the agency tasked with ensuring food safety for the population) is steered by ex-Monsanto executives, and we feel that’s a questionable conflict of interests and explains the lack of government-lead research on the long-term effects of GMO products.
  • For too long, Monsanto has been the benefactor of corporate subsidies and political favouritism. Organic and small farmers suffer losses while Monsanto continues to forge its monopoly over the world’s food supply, including exclusive patenting rights over seeds and genetic makeup.
  • In March 2013, President Obama and U.S. Congress collectively passed the nicknamed “Monsanto Protection Act” that, among other things, bans Courts from halting the sale of Monsanto’s genetically-modified seeds and also grants legal immunity from health problems caused by their products.
  • In April 2013, the last of the big UK supermarkets to hold out against the use of controversial GM crops on their farms – Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and the Co-op, ended their ban on giving ‘GM feed’ to their livestock. Meaning the majority of meat, milk and eggs on sale in the UK, will come from animals raised on a GM diet. Appallingly, these products will not be labelled GM-fed animals, in what critics call a disaster for consumer choice.
  • This will happen throughout the world.

The majority of people are unaware that they have been unknowingly consuming Genetically Modified (GM) Foods for over 20 years to our detriment.
